Link Resource Overview

The script can be used to manage link exchanges with other sites or to build a list of sites that are considered useful for visitors.

The directory script can be installed on most hosts that provide PHP 4.3 or later and MySQL 4.0.10 or later. Full requirements for the directory script.

The script provides the following features:

• No limits imposed on the number of categories and sub-categories
• Full text search
• Filter to analyse the title and description of submissions to the directory to help ensure the correctness of the submission
• Supports mod_rewrite to allow for search engine friendly URLs
• Per category meta description
• Suggest a new category form
• Report broken link or bad entry form
• "What's New" pages showing all listings added in the last 30 days
  (Number of days is configurable)
• Large categories are automatically split over multiple pages
• Listings are sorted alphabetically
• Reads meta data from site during submission
• Control which categories will accept submissions
• New submissions are queued for review before being added to the directory
• Requests for modifications to existing listings are queued for review before the directory is updated
• Automatic sending of emails informing the submitter of acceptance or rejection
• Categories and entries can be moved within the directory
• Can share the database with other scripts through use of table prefixes
• Delivered skin is validated CSS and XHTML 1.1
• Dead and reciprocal link checker
• Show the list of sites that have not reciprocated a link
